Karen Karen Gledhill

Karen started kickboxing at Chesham at the age of 17 and was introduced to martial arts soon after. Having quickly progressed in her first year she was awarded the club's female martial artist of the year award. She has shown the same dedication since then and achieved her Black Belt First Dan in December 2007 along with her instructing qualification. Outside of training Karen works as a qualified teacher of singing, drama and dance so has plenty of experience and is confident teaching all ages. She is also Appointed Person trained in Health and Safety First Aid. Now at age 24 Karen has experience fighting semi contact in the ring, is a fully qualified instructor in both martial arts and kickboxing and is working towards her second Dan.

Beky Beky Hughes Boxercise Instructor Qualification

Beky has been kickboxing for over seven years, has fought in multiple semi-contact kickboxing competitions and was awarded 1st Dan Black Belt in mixed martial arts in December 2007. She is a fully certified instructor in adult and junior kickboxing and martial art techniques, and is Appointed Person trained in Health and Safety First Aid. She is competent in referee and corner staff practices and has experience in organising Chesham Kickboxing events. Beky's sporting endeavors include regular fitness training and participation in triathlon, duathlon, half ironman and 10km up to marathon distance races. When she's not exercising, Beky works full time as an account director for a technical public relations agency in Buckinghamshire.

Bill Bill Cann Boxercise Instructor Qualification

Bill has been kickboxing with Chesham for over seven years and was awarded his first Dan in mixed martial arts of which he is a qualified BIKMA instructor. He has always shown a keen interest in physical exercise, having worked in a gym as a fitness instructor and a personal trainer. He achieved A-grades in Physical education in A-Levels before studying sport science at Nottingham University. As well as martial arts, he is a regular half and full marathon runner. He has coaching experience in both badminton and tennis and is a competent scuba diver He has won the North and South England bodybuilding competitions and qualified for the British Finals. Training for these events has given him knowledge in weight lifting, strength training as well as dietary needs. Bill runs a local successful electrical contracting business. Bill believes fitness should be fun.
